Born in 1973 in Paris, Julia Dasic grew up between Belgrade (Serbia) and Serres (Greece) before returning to France, where she now lives and works.

After her studies at the 'Beaux-Arts' & 'School of Textile design' in Belgrade and the 'Arts décoratifs' in Paris, Julia became assistant to the painter Nissan Engel, before working with the fashion designer Irina Volkonskii. In 2004, Julia participated in the launching of the trendy French magazine ‘Flavor’, in which she created a “do it yourself” column on costume jewellery. While always pursuing her own drawing and painting work, Julia then collaborated with Udner in the making of a comic book.

During this period, Julia also worked as scientific illustrator for a medical book editor, specializing in anatomic drawings.

Influenced by artists like Klimt, Bosch or Pierre Molinier, Julia has developed an original design combining photomontage and painting.

Her new collection “Odalisques” reflects an erotic atmosphere, in which the bodies of callipygian female models float, weightless, in an undefined space.

Julia Dasic was invited to exhibitions in Belgrade (Serbia), Nagoya (Japan), Kavalla (Greece) and Paris (France).
